Effective 7 July 2026
Pay to Pickle (“we”, “us”) is a small service operated from Australia that helps pickleball groups split court and equipment costs. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, where it goes, and the rights you have over it — wherever in the world you play. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and we extend comparable rights (access, correction, deletion, export) to everyone, including users covered by the GDPR and similar laws.
Only to run the product: signing you in, doing the settle-up math for your crew, sending the emails the service needs (confirmations, password resets, receipts), and responding when you contact us. We don’t run ads, we don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t build profiles of you.
Members of a crew can see that crew’s sessions, balances, and member names. People outside your crew can’t. Joining one crew never exposes your other crews.
We use a small set of reputable service providers to run Pay to Pickle. Because they operate global infrastructure, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia (including the United States and Asia-Pacific regions):
Each provider secures data under its own published security and compliance programs. We only share what each needs to do its job.
Wherever you are, you can ask us to: access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, export it in a portable format, or delete it. Email hello@paytopickle.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If we delete your account, some records may be retained where the law requires it (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. Australians can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au); users elsewhere can contact their local data protection authority.
We keep your data while your account is active. Crew history is the product — your sessions and settle-up records stay with the crew so the math stays honest. Archived crews are hidden from the app but retained, and can be restored on request. On a deletion request, we remove your personal information except what we’re legally required to keep.
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Pay to Pickle isn’t directed at children under 16.
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top, and for material changes we’ll email account holders.
